I believe that the method and exercises created by Joanna Heidtman, a psychologist, which were described in the book, will open the doors and will be the first step in your journey into yourself. The strength of synergy and the art of building relations are two keystones of creating Olivia Business Centre’s community. One of our goals is to show that Olivia is a place of development for many people and that it is always the bilateral exchange of ideas and experiences – on the part of participants of our meeting and on the part of invited experts.

The guest of “Steer for happiness. The “Pole Method” in life and business” event, which was held in Olivia Sky Club, was recently Marek Kamiński; a charismatic leader, traveller, philosopher and an outstanding personality in the world of sport and business, who in July 2017 chose Olivia as his foundation’s headquarters. In the conversation held by Monika Bogdanowicz (Olivia Business Centre), Marek Kamiński shared his experience gathered during numerous expeditions and trips, which took him to the outermost places in the world. He talked, for example, about the need and possibility to consciously create the feeling of happiness both in professional and personal life. 

You can create such a feeling, for example, by consistent application of simple techniques of meditation, inner conversation with yourself and so-called notes of thoughts – which should be prepared every day in the morning, just after waking up. He presented, on his own example, the ways of fulfilling new plans and goals. He made people in Olivia familiar with his latest project called “Life plan” and “No Trace Expedition” trip. The latter is an innovative project, which promotes the idea of conscious travelling, also into yourself, without leaving traces in natural environment. Its implementation is planned for March-June 2018. The route – 20 thousand kilometres – will run through Kaliningrad, Belarus, Russia, Siberia, South Korea, as far as to Japan. The aim of the expedition is, among other things, to show that you can travel by an electric car long and difficult distances and at the same time influence the surrounding world in a positive way, without leaving the traces of human presence. This idea connects with an innovative “Leave Trail” approach, behind which there lies leaving trails, but not in the natural world – in people’s minds.

During the event, there were presented also the elements of development programmes implemented by Marek Kamiński Foundation, which support different social and professional groups, including managers and companies’ management staffs. Of course, authorial “Pole Method” by Kamiński was among them. It concentrates on achieving goals, supporting development and preventing motivation loss. It consists of 10 steps and leads, among other things, to getting to know your own self. It is based on dreams because they are the key to determining your own Pole. The “Pole Method” was described in a book entitled “Odkryj, że biegun nosisz w sobie” and it uses, for example, visualisation and physical exercises.

It is successfully used during Camps for the Poles Conquerors organised by Marek Kamiński Foundation. However, it can be used at every level of our lives and involve both personal and professional goals. It becomes a multidimensional and fascinating journey, which aim is to give our lives a unique value. Soft skills, which can be acquired using this method, become useful in our everyday life, at its every stage.

Przed nami II Metropolitalna Debata w Olivii. Wraz z „Dziennikiem Bałtyckim” – organizatorem przedsięwzięcia i jego partnerem merytorycznym, stowarzyszeniem Obszar Metropolitalny Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot zastanawiamy się nad tym, jak budować silną metropolię, dobrze służącą mieszkańcom naszego regionu. W Olivia Business Centre przez całe półrocze 2018 roku spotykać się będą przedstawiciele samorządów, uczelni, instytucji kultury, sztuki, przedsiębiorcy i politycy, poruszając tematy najistotniejsze dla naszej aglomeracji.

Pierwsza debata w siedzibie Olivia Business Centre odbyła się 22 stycznia. Już 2 marca w Olivii odbędzie się rozmowa na temat mobilności. Metropolia to bowiem dla mieszkańców całego regionu w pierwszej kolejności nadzieja na poprawę komunikacji. Chcemy, by było nam łatwiej przemieszczać się zarówno w obrębie Gdańska, Gdyni i Sopotu, jak i pomiędzy „rdzeniem” metropolii a sąsiednimi miastami czy gminami. Dyskutować będziemy zatem o transporcie zbiorowym, w tym ujednoliconym bilecie. Podczas spotkania poruszone zostaną też kwestie związane z rozwojem SKM i Pomorskiej Kolei Metropolitalnej. The 2^nd Metropolitan Debate in Olivia is still ahead of us. Together with “Dziennik Bałtycki” – the organiser of the event and contents partner of the project, Obszar Metropolitalny Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot Association, we are discussing on how to build a strong metropolis, which will serve the residents of our region well. In Olivia Business Centre, throughout the entire half of 2018, the representatives of local governments, colleges, cultural and art institutions, entrepreneurs and politicians will be meeting and dealing with the issues, which are the most important for our agglomeration.

The first debate in Olivia Business Centre’s headquarters was held on January 22. The meeting, during which there was a debate between the representatives of the government, members of parliament and local governments (for example mayors of Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot), ended with signing an important declaration by the participants. “We, the participants of metropolitan debate organised by the editors of “Dziennik Bałtycki” in Olivia Business Centre, as well as the representatives of communes and districts associated in Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot Metropolitan Area, support the idea of creating a metropolitan union in the Pomeranian Voivodeship” – this is the first sentence of the declaration. Read more…

Already on March 2 in Olivia, there will be held a conversation about mobility. First of all, the metropolis is a hope for the residents of the whole region for the improvement of transport. We want to commute easier within Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot, as well as between the “core” of the metropolis and neighbouring cities and communes. That is why, we will be talking about collective transport, including unified tickets. During the meeting, we will also discuss such issues as the development of Fast City Rail and Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway. Interlocutors will be also looking for modern solutions – in the agenda, there is also a place for the debate on a metropolitan bike. Politicians from local governments and experts will participate in the debate called “Metropolis and mobility”. The meeting will begin on Friday, March 2 at 3:00 pm. You will have a chance to keep track of the event on the Facebook profile of “Dziennik Bałtycki”.

Olivia Business Centre rozpoczyna kolejną inwestycję. Powstaje ósmy budynek centrum biznesowego, dzięki któremu developer dostarczy na trójmiejski rynek kolejne 25 tysięcy mkw. powierzchni biurowej najwyższej jakości. The eighth building of the business centre thanks to which the developer will deliver another 25 thousand square metres of the best-quality office space to the Tri-City market is being erected. The investment is to be completed by the end of 2019. So, at this moment under construction there are simultaneously two technologically advanced A class office buildings: building number seven, with 28 thousand metres square of space, and building number eight. The office market will grow by more than 50 square metres in total.

At the turn of the second and third quarter of 2018, the seventh building in Olivia Business Centre with 28 thousand square metres of space will be put into service. Za nami pierwsze spotkanie z cyklu „Siła dobroci”. Absolutnie wyjątkowe, radosne, pełne pasji i dobrej energii. W Olivii gościliśmy seniorów, podopiecznych Caritas Archidiecezji Gdańskiej.

– „Siła Dobroci” to projekt, który w naszych głowach zrodził się już dawno. Przez takie cykliczne wydarzenia chcemy pokazać kulisy pracy w Caritas – mówi Marta Szulc, sekretarz zarządu gdańskiej Caritas. – W Olivii udowodniliśmy, w co głęboko wierzę, że życie po 60-tce wcale nie musi być nudne i samotne. Coraz więcej starszych osób dostrzega dla siebie nowe perspektywy i zamiast biernie siedzieć w domu, woli realizować własne pasje i aktywnie spędzać czas. Nie możemy też zapominać, że seniorzy mają olbrzymie doświadczenie i chęć, by się nim dzielić z otoczeniem i czynnie uczestniczyć w życiu publicznym. Dlatego staramy się stwarzać im jak najwięcej takich możliwości, a tym samym przełamywać stereotypy – dodaje.

– To dla nas ogromna radość moc dzielić się tym co robimy ze środowiskiem przedsiębiorców i biznesmenów pracujących w Olivia Business Centre. Jestem przekonany, że możliwość spotkania dwóch tak różnych „światów” zaowocuje niezwykłą wymianą doświadczeń, spostrzeżeń, wiedzy, a nade wszystko serdecznych relacji. Dziękuję za możliwość zorganizowania cyklu spotkań „Siła dobroci” Caritas właśnie w Olivii – powiedział ks. Janusz Steć, dyrektor Caritas Archidiecezji Gdańskiej. 

Gościem specjalnym spotkania był Marek Demczuk, fotoreporter i operator, który opowiedział o swoich doświadczeniach we współpracy z Caritas. Podkreślał, że najważniejsze stały się i są dla niego więzi oraz nawiązywane relacje i że z każdego spotkania z seniorami wychodzi bogatszy o doświadczenie, wiedzę, dobro.

– Pamiętajmy, kiedy mówimy o relacjach, nie mówimy o jednostronności. Relacje nigdy nie są jednostronne i nie ma takiej sytuacji, że z relacji czerpie tylko jedna strona. Ktoś daje, a ktoś tylko bierze… Zawsze, ale to zawsze, kiedy wchodzimy w relacje jesteśmy obdarowywani i obdarowujemy. Wszyscy. Mam to szczęście, że współpracuję z Caritas od lat. Spotykając się z seniorami, dziećmi, pracownikami, wolontariuszami, jestem obdarowywany po stokroć – mówił Marek Demczuk.

Uczestnicy „Siły dobroci” mogli włączyć się też w zajęcia, które cyklicznie odbywają się w placówkach gdańskiej Caritas, gdzie spotykają się seniorzy. W Olivia Sky Club ćwiczono więc, pod okiem pracowników Caritas i umysł, i ciało. Nie zabrakło również części artystycznej. Jasełka, w wykonaniu seniorów z Domu Dziennego Pobytu z Centrum Caritas im. św. Siostry Faustyny w Rumii zostały nagrodzone gromkimi brawami. I trzeba przyznać, że aktorzy, oprócz talentu, mają też niesamowity dystans do siebie i pokłady dobrego humoru.

Na gości spotkania czekał też słodki poczęstunek – domowe rogaliki z dżemem i przepyszne pierniki, przepisy na które można było wziąć ze sobą do domu, podejmując próbę zrównania się w kulinarnych talentach z seniorkami, autorkami wypieków. Nie zabrakło też rozmów przy herbacie i dźwiękach gitary. Wydarzeniu towarzyszyła wystawa fotograficzna pt. „Seniorzy Caritas”.

– Współpracując ze środowiskiem osób skupionych wokół Caritas na Pomorzu, chcemy pokazać, że warto być aktywnym i wrażliwym w różnych wymiarach życia społecznego. Mamy nadzieje, że spotkanie z seniorami czy kolejne, o talentach i wartości płynącej z bycia wolontariuszem, pozwolą poznać się bliżej i przyczynią do większej świadomości wagi spraw związanych z potrzebą bycia blisko ludzkich spraw. Jako partner spotkań zapraszamy wszystkich, którzy chcą zobaczyć, jak organizacje, takie jak Caritas, na co dzień włączają się w pomoc ludziom. I jak my możemy też pomóc – podkreśla Monika Bogdanowicz z Olivia Business Centre.

 

Przed nami jeszcze trzy spotkania w Olivii z pracownikami, wolontariuszami, przyjaciółmi i sympatykami Caritas Pomorze, na które zapraszamy serdecznie już dzisiaj.

– Opowiemy o naszych podopiecznych z niepełnosprawnością, zdradzimy co dzieje się w naszych świetlicach dla dzieci oraz podpowiemy, jak można zostać wolontariuszem – dodaje Marta Szulc.

The first meeting as part of “The Strength of Kindness” series is already behind us. It was absolutely unique, joyful, full of passion and good energy. In Olivia, we hosted seniors, the charges of Caritas of Gdańsk Archdiocese.

– “The Strength of Kindness” is a project, which arose in our minds a long time ago. By organising such periodic events we want to show the behind-the-scenes work in Caritas – said Marta Szulc, the Secretary of the Management Board in Caritas in Gdańsk. – I really hope we proved in Olivia that the lives of people who are over 60 don’t have to be boring and lonely. More and more elderly people see new perspectives and instead of sitting inactively at home, they prefer to fulfil their passions and spend time actively. We can’t forget that seniors have great experience and will to share it with others, as well as to actively participate in public life. That is why, we try to create as many opportunities as possible for them and in this way overcome stereotypes – she added.

The special guest during the event was Marek Demczuk, photojournalist and operator, who told us about his experiences while cooperating with Caritas. He emphasised that bonds and established relationships have become and are the most important for him and that after every meeting with seniors he is richer with experience, knowledge and good.

– We need to remember that when we talk about relationships, we don’t talk about one-sidedness. Relationships are never one-sided and there is no such a situation that only one person benefits from a relationship. Someone gives and someone only takes… Always, but always, when we enter any relationship, we are bestowed and we bestow. Everyone. I am lucky enough to have been cooperating with Caritas for years. When I meet seniors, children, employees and volunteers, I am bestowed hundredfold – said Marek Demczuk.

The participants of “The Strength of Kindness” had an opportunity to take part in activities, which are periodically held in the facilities of Caritas in Gdańsk, where seniors meet. In Olivia Sky Club, participants could train, under the guidance of Caritas employees, both their minds and bodies. There was also an artistic part. Nativity play prepared by seniors from Saint Faustyna Kowalska Day Care Caritas Centre in Rumia was loudly applauded. It must be admitted that actors, apart from their talents, have a great sense of humour and can distance themselves.

Sweet snacks were waiting for the guests – home-made croissants with jam and delicious gingerbreads. Participants could take recipes home and try to get closer to culinary talents of seniors who prepared these baked goods. There were also conversations with tea and guitar sounds. The event was accompanied by a photo exhibition entitled “Seniors in Caritas”.

– While cooperating with the environment of people focused around Caritas in Pomerania region, we want to show that it’s worth being active and empathetic in different dimensions of social life. We hope that the meeting with seniors or the future ones concerning talents and the value of being a volunteer will contribute to the fact that people will be more aware of the importance of issues connected with the need to be closer to social issues. As a partner of these meetings, we would like to invite everyone, who want to find out how such organisations as Caritas get engaged in helping people every day. And how we can help as well – emphasised Monika Bogdanowicz from Olivia Business Centre.

– We will talk about our disabled charges, tell a few words about what is going on in our clubhouses for children and will tell participants how they can become volunteers – added Marta Szulc.

20 stycznia po raz ósmy odbył się „Charytatywny Bal z Sercem”, organizowany przez Fundację Hospicyjną. Partnerem wydarzenia i tym razem było Olivia Business Centre.

Europejskie Centrum Solidarności zgromadziło ponad 250 gości. Karnawałową zabawę, zgodnie z tradycją balu, połączono ze zbiórką środków na pomoc podopiecznym fundacji – zbierano fundusze na rzecz osób przebywających pod opieką Hospicjum dla Dzieci i Dorosłych im. ks. E. Dutkiewicza w Gdańsku. W ubiegłym roku, w głośnej i cichej licytacji, zebrano ponad 180 tysięcy złotych. W tym roku do Hospicjum trafi blisko 240 tysięcy złotych!

W organizację tegorocznego balu zaangażowani byli Konsul Honorowy Republiki Malty w Gdyni, Sławomir Kalicki oraz Prezydent Zarządu Stowarzyszenia Konsulów Honorowych Polsce, Magdalena Pramfelt. Patronat honorowy nad balem objęła Natasha Meli Daudey, ambasador Republiki Malty w Polsce. Wieczór w ECS pełen był więc maltańskich akcentów.

Jednym z bardziej wzruszających punktów wieczoru były podziękowania skierowane do osób, które od lat zaangażowane są aktywnie w pomoc fundacji. Za dobre serca wręczono im symboliczne… serduszka. Te wyjątkowe wyróżnienia trafiły w tym roku do Macieja Grabskiego, Prezesa Zarządu Olivia Business Centre, Barbary Zaborowskiej, właścicielki Olimpia Group, Juliana Pawlukiewicza, Prezes Johnny Bros i Macieja Kosycarza.

Wspomniana już kwota 240 tysięcy złotych umożliwi hospicjum miesiąc domowej opieki nad 80. dzieci oraz dorosłych w Hospicjum ks. Dutkiewicza.

On 20 of January, for the 8^th time there took place a “Charity Ball with Heart” organised by Hospice Foundation. Also this time, Olivia Business Centre was the partner of the event.

European Solidarity Centre gathered more than 250 guests. Carnival party, in accordance with ball’s tradition, was combined with raising money for foundation’s charges – guests were raising funds for people under the care of priest E. Dutkiewicz Hospice for Adults and Children in Gdańsk. Last year, during loud and silent auction, more than 180 thousand zlotys were raised. This year, the Hospice will receive nearly 240 thousand zlotys!

Honorary Consul of the Republic of Malta in Poland, Sławomir Kalicki and the President of the Management Board of the Association of Honorary Consuls in Poland, Magdalena Pramfelt, were engaged in the organisation of this year’s ball. The ball was organised under the honorary patronage of Natasha Meli Daudey, the ambassador of the Republic of Malta in Poland. The event in ESC was full of Maltese accents.

One of the most moving moments during the event were the words of thanks addressed to people, who have been actively engaged in helping the foundation for many years. For their good hearts they received symbolic… hearts. This year, these unique distinctions went to Maciej Grabski, President of the Management Board in Olivia Business Centre, Barbara Zaborowska, the owner of Olimpia Group, Julian Pawlukiewicz, CEO of Johnny Bros and Maciej Kosycarz.

The above-mentioned 240 thousand zlotys will provide domiciliary health care for 80 children and adults in priest Dutkiewicz Hospice.

Dziś, tj. 22 stycznia, w Olivia Business Centre odbyła się pierwsza debata o naszej metropolii. W spotkaniu udział wzięli: Paweł Chorąży – wiceminister w Ministerstwie Rozwoju, Kazimierz Kleina – senator (PO); Marcin Horała – poseł na Sejm (PiS); Paweł Adamowicz – prezydent Gdańska; Wojciech Szczurek – prezydent Gdyni; Jacek Karnowski – prezydent Sopotu; Zbigniew Canowiecki – prezydent Pracodawców Pomorza oraz Patryk Demski – burmistrz Pelplina.

Debatę otworzyli: Maciej Grabski, prezes Olivia Business Centre oraz Mariusz Szmidka, redaktor naczelny Dziennika Bałtyckiego.

W Olivii nie od dziś staramy się mówić o rzeczach ważnych: dla naszego miasta, aglomeracji, regionu. Chcemy być miejscem rzetelnych, otwartych dyskusji na tematy ważkie, takie, z których wnioski można przełożyć na realne działania służące nam wszystkim, mieszkańcom Pomorza. Tym razem wraz z „Dziennikiem Bałtyckim”; organizatorem „Metropolitalnych debat w Olivii” i partnerem merytorycznym przedsięwzięcia, stowarzyszeniem Obszar Metropolitalny Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot postanowiliśmy zainicjować dyskusje o tym, jak budować silną metropolię. Do Olivia Sky Club przez cale półrocze zapraszać będziemy przedstawicieli samorządów, uczelni, instytucji kultury, sztuki, przedsiębiorców i polityków, poruszając kwestie najistotniejsze dla mieszkańców naszej aglomeracji.

Paneliści pierwszego spotkania mówili m.in. o tym, jak tworzyć obszar metropolitalny na Pomorzu i co można zdziałać dzięki współpracy. Zastanawiali się, czy rozwój metropolii w Polsce wymaga specjalnych aktów prawnych, czy powstanie metropolii rozwiąże nasze codzienne problemy i zadania powinna wypełniać przyszła metropolia. Co dzięki niej mogą zyskać mieszkańcy? Jakie są szanse i zagrożenia płynące z metropolii?

Debata zakończyła się podpisaniem przez uczestników spotkania oraz przedstawicieli gmin i powiatów województwa pomorskiego „Deklaracji na rzecz utworzenia związku metropolitalnego w województwie pomorskim”.
