Olivia hosted Hong Kong

An international conference “China – Hong Kong – Poland in face of the initiative of New Silk Road” took place on June 29, in Olivia Business Centre. The conference was organised by the Regional Chamber of Legal Counsels in Gdańsk in cooperation with: Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Berlin, Hong Kong Trade Development Council in Warsaw, HSBC Bank Polska S.A., the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Gdańsk, Olivia Business Centre in Gdańsk and Pomeranian Employers.

The aim of the conference was to strengthen the relations between the entrepreneurs and legal counsels in the context of the future cooperation regarding business and legal support of Chinese investments in Poland.

That is why, the entrepreneurs interested in economic cooperation with China and Hong Kong were invited to the conference. We had a chance to listen to such speakers as: the representative of Hong Kong government – Mrs Betty Ho, Vice President of Advocacy – Mrs Heather Jun Han, Vice President of Lawyers’ Association in Hong Kong – Mr Amirali Nasir and many other guests.

China is the biggest market in the world, the second importer after the USA, the first exporter, and one of the fastest growing Poland’s economic partner. For entrepreneurs, China is a chance to provide profits for a long time. It is a potential market with a half billion consumers, whose aspirations and needs will be ensuring the demand for goods and services from partner countries. At the same time, it is a country with a fast growing economy. With this in mind, both countries are aiming to strengthen their mutual relations and strategic cooperation.

At the conference, there also took place a formal ceremony, during which two Cooperation Agreements were signed: between the Regional Chamber of Legal Advisers in Gdańsk and Advocacy in Shenzhen, as well as between the Regional Chamber of Legal Advisers in Gdańsk and Lawyers’ Association in Hong Kong.
