During this year’s Gala of CEE Shared Services and Outsourcing Awards, held on 4 February in Warsaw, the most important distinctions of the SSC/BPO sector were awarded for 2015. The winners were selected with votes of an independent expert jury. Olivia Six was found to be the best office building in Central and Eastern Europe. A prize for the fastest developing city was awarded to Tricity, inter alia in recognition of the achievements of the Pomerania Development Agency. Also residents of Olivia Business Centre were given distinctions: Sii as the best IT company of the last year in Poland, PwC as a consulting company and Hays as the best executive search company.

 

Olivia Six: the best offices in Central and Eastern Europe

Olivia Six is the newest building of the Olivia Business Centre complex, commissioned in May 2015. It is 55 metres high and has 15 overground stories. The building provides almost 18 square metres of office space. Among the residents of Olivia Six there are e.g. Pomerania Development Agency, PwC or ThyssenKrupp. From the middle-level stories of the building there is a great view of the Gulf of Gdańsk or the roofs of one of the oldest districts of Gdańsk – Oliwa, and the nearby forests. However, it were not those features that were decisive for the prestigious award. There is no doubt that Olivia Six is one of the most interestingly designed office buildings in Poland. The design was made by the company in Gdynia – BJK Architekci.

 

“The office building is one of the most environment-friendly buildings in Poland which was confirmed with a BREEAM Excellent certificate with the best result in the region. It provides a comfort of work at the top world level. The lobby was made in the form of a large chessboard of black and milky stone and the designer generally accessible lobby has a character of an English library. The spacious lobby was designed with the aim to create unique and prestigious space in which the guests and employees will feel naturally and comfortably. Additionally, the façade of the building is alive 24/24 hours,“ said Maciej Kotarski, Lease Director at Olivia Business Centre.

 

 

 

The best companies in Europe have their offices at Olivia Business Centre

A great success was also recorded by Sii which is a resident at the Olivia Business Centre. The company was recognised as the company of the year in Poland’s IT market. In Poland the company employs over 2300 engineers and specialists. The office of Sii at Olivia Business Centre is the company’s largest office in Poland to employ as many as 700 people soon. In December 2015 the company announced it signed a contract to rent 6 000 square metres of office space in the new building Olivia Star to be completed in Q1 2017. The new office is to contain a slide to connect the floors of Sii’s future offices.

One more time PwC Poland was recognised as the best consulting company of the year. PwC is involved inter alia in audits, tax and legal consulting. PwC is one of the first residents at the Olivia Business Centre. Its offices are located in the Olivia Gate and Olivia Six buildings where PwC SSC/BPO Center of Excellence rewarded in the competition operates.

Hays was another award in the row for the top quality recruitment services it provides. This time the Hays Executive department was recognised for executive search services, providing its clients best candidates with unique skills for managerial positions. Hays office is located at Olivia Tower building.

 

Tricity develops the fastest

Tricity has become one of the most desired locations for business in this part of Europe. The jury appreciated the fact that Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot in a short time make up in terms of infrastructure the best developed cities in Poland like Warsaw, Kraków or Wrocław. In 2015 alone new investors created over 2.5 thousand jobs in Tricity having rented about 77 thousand square metres of office space. The decision of the jury was also affected by the top quality services for foreign investors. Major contribution has been made by the Pomerania Development Agency with its offices in Olivia Six and the initiative Invest in Pomerania. Since the beginning of its functioning, Invest in Pomerania has handled 300 enquiries by investors from 36 countries and 22 out of 75 visits ended with a success. Invest in Pomerania has also received the three-year prize for the best investor service centre in Poland (2010 and 2013; the prize for 2016 has not been awarded yet).

Rödl & Partner transferred its Tricity office to the Olivia Business Centre in Gdańsk at al. Grunwaldzka 472. The branch of the German consulting company with almost 40 years of experience is located on the third floor in the Olivia Gate B building.

Olivia Business Centre

„Wypracuj Przyszłość” to nazwa nowego projektu staży całorocznych realizowanego przez Referat Przedsiębiorczości i Turystyki gdańskiego magistratu. Celem projektu jest umożliwienie uczestnikom zdobycia doświadczenia zawodowego, ułatwiającego im znalezienie pierwszej pracy i pozostanie na lokalnym rynku pracy, a także wsparcie firm poszukujących stażystów, a często również nowych pracowników. Partnerami projektu są Pracodawcy Pomorza i Olivia Business Centre.

Projekt „Wypracuj Przyszłość” skierowany jest do studentów i absolwentów studiów wyższych oraz pełnoletnich uczniów ostatnich klas techników i ich absolwentów. Fundatorami staży mogą być firmy, organizacje pozarządowe i inne instytucje, które zobowiążą się do przyjęcia stażystów i wypłaty im wynagrodzenia w minimalnej wysokości określonej w regulaminie projektu.

Do projektu, który startuje w listopadzie 2015 roku, będzie można zgłosić się w każdym momencie jego trwania. Fundatorzy stażu będą mogli złożyć ofertę stażu nie później niż do 15 maja 2016r., a kandydaci na staż swoje aplikacje najpóźniej do 30 maja 2016r. Czas trwania stażu oraz formę zatrudnienia, indywidualnie określi fundator w porozumieniu ze stażystą. Staż powinien trwać co najmniej 1 miesiąc.

Inspiracją przy tworzeniu założeń projektu „Wypracuj Przyszłość” było doświadczenie zdobyte podczas 13 lat realizacji projektu „Wakacyjny Staż”. Projekt ten od wielu lat przynosi duże korzyści gdańskiemu rynkowi pracy – dotychczas odbyło się w jego ramach 3226 staży. Przekrój branż, z których oferowane są miejsca stażowe jest bardzo szeroki, a firmy zgłaszające się do projektu to przedsiębiorstwa z rynku lokalnego, ogólnokrajowego, a także międzynarodowe korporacje.

W ubiegłorocznej edycji „Wakacyjnego Stażu”, aż 24% laureatów projektu znalazło zatrudnienie w firmie, w której odbywało staż, a 40% laureatom zaproponowano możliwość zatrudnienia po zakończeniu stażu.

Olivia Business Centre oraz Mateusz Kusznierewicz mają przyjemność zaprosić na pierwszą odsłonę cyklu Spotkania Mistrzów Olivia Business Centre. Gościem specjalnym tej edycji będzie kapitan Roman Paszke, który opowie zgromadzonym historię i tajemnice słynnego wyścigu ROLEX Sydney Hobart. Mowa będzie też o wyścigu Vendee Globe, Pucharze Ameryki, Igrzyskach Olimpijskich i wydarzeniach na Bałtyku.

Setki nowych miejsc pracy

W maju 2015 r. oddano do użytku budynek Olivia Six, podtrzymując passę oddawania do użytku co roku jednego biurowca. We wrześniu 2015 r. niemiecki koncern metalurgiczny ThyssenKrupp otworzył w nim Globalne Centrum Usług Wspólnych, które zatrudni docelowo 1000 osób. Do Olivia Six wprowadziły się również Agencja Rozwoju Pomorza, Epam Systems i PwC, która otworzyła Centrum Kompetencyjne świadczące usługi doradcze dla klientów z sektora finansowego z USA i krajów Europy Zachodniej. ARP to wyspecjalizowana agenda samorządowa, zajmująca się dystrybucją środków unijnych i ściąganiem inwestorów zagranicznych do regionu, co generuje setki miejsc pracy rocznie. Ponadto do Olivii Six wprowadza się CityFit – trwają prace wykończeniowe przy dwupiętrowym studio fitness o powierzchni ponad 2 tys. mkw., które będzie dostępne przez cała dobę, 365 dni w roku.

Olivia Six to budynek z pierwszą w Polsce całoszklaną trójszybową elewacją, spełniającą normy UE na rok 2021. Six uzyskał najwyższy wynik certyfikatu ekologicznego BREEAM Excellent w Trójmieście. Budynek został również doceniony w branżowych konkursach.

Z uznaniem ekspertów spotkał się również budynek Olivia Four. Biurowiec został wyróżniony w konkursach Pomorskie Sztormy 2014, Biurowiec Roku 2014 oraz Green Building Awards. Wysoką jakość Olivia Four doceniły takie firmy jak Generali, LOTOS Air‑BP, Acxiom, Atos, Qumak i Omida, otwierając w nim swoje biura.

W 2015 roku kolejnymi rezydentami pozostałych budynków Olivia Business Centre zostały m.in. Avaus Marketing Innovations, Broadridge, Coleman Research, czy Grupa Nowy Styl – największy producent krzeseł w Europie. Dodatkowe piętro w budynku Olivia Tower wynajęła również firma Bayer.

 

Przestrzeń kreatywności

W 2015 r. w Olivia Business Centre rozpoczął działalność akcelerator biznesu O4, oferujący na 3 piętrach budynku Olivia Four pokoje o wielkości już od 16 mkw. oraz nowoczesną przestrzeń konferencyjną. Jest to jeden z największych akceleratorów w Polsce. Oferta dla małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw została dosłownie rozchwytana, w ciągu kilku tygodni zostały zajęte wszystkie aktualnie dostępne powierzchnie biurowe. Dzisiaj członkami klubu O4 jest ponad 30 firm oraz wielu przedsiębiorców korzystających ze strefy coworkingu. W O4 działa między innymi niepubliczne gimnazjum.

 

 

Olivia Star już rośnie

Jednym z najważniejszych wydarzeń w 2015 r. w Olivia Business Centre było rozpoczęcie budowy prestiżowego wieżowca Olivia Star. Pierwszą umowę najmu biura w Olivia Star podpisano z jednym z najszybciej rosnących rezydentów centrum, francuską firmą informatyczną Sii. Na powierzchni 6000 mkw. pracować będzie 700 osób, a kondygnacje połączy zjeżdżalnia.

 

Wielofunkcyjność

Jednym z głównych atutów dla osób pracujących w centrum jest bogata oferta usług zlokalizowanych na parterach poszczególnych budynków: centrum medyczne, restauracje, kawiarnia, przedszkole, banki, salon piękności, centra konferencyjne. W 2015 roku podpisano umowy z  restauracją FIVE, Alior Bankiem, a także CityFit, które już wkrótce stanie się największym i najnowocześniejszym klubem fitness w Trójmieście.

 

 

 

Serce trójmiejskiego biznesu

Olivia Business Centre to serce trójmiejskiego biznesu, między innymi dzięki prawie 300 wydarzeniom dla pomorskich przedsiębiorców tu zorganizowanych. Wśród nich były m.in. InfoShare czy Startup Sauna. Z rezydentami centrum spotkały się znane postacie ze świata nauki, sportu i sztuki: Chris Niedenthal oraz Peter Vesterbacka. Ponadto Olivia Sky Club gościł spotkania dotyczące strategii Obszaru Metropolitalnego Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot oraz gala programu „Wakacyjny Staż”, w którym wzięło udział prawie 90 firm.

 

 

 

Więcej niż biznes

W ramach współpracy z Uniwersytetem Gdańskim pracownicy i eksperci z firm z Olivia Business Centre dzielili się wiedzą ze studentami – zarówno podczas prelekcji na uczelni, jak i w trakcie praktycznych zajęć w centrum. Wśród wydarzeń angażujących lokalną społeczność można wyróżnić festyn rodzinny z okazji Dnia Dziecka, zbiórki krwi i Świąteczny Jarmark Natury.

Sporą aktywnością i walecznością wykazała się sportowa społeczność Olivia Business Centre. W ligach piłki nożnej i siatkówki Olivia Sports najlepsze okazały się zespoły OSTC oraz Goyello. Centrum zaangażowało się również w lokalne wydarzenia biegowe: Bieg Oliwski oraz Sztafetę Firm.

Olivia Business Centre zaangażowało się także w inicjatywy promujące miasto oraz region. Akcja „Wybierz Gdańsk” zachęca ludzi w różnym wieku do rozpoczęcia lub kontynuowania kariery zawodowej w mieście Neptuna. W marcu natomiast, jak co roku, Olivia Business Centre było częścią reprezentacji województwa pomorskiego podczas jednych z największych targów nieruchomościowych w Europie, czyli MIPIM we francuskim Cannes.

ThyssenKrupp, Atos, Generali, LOTOS Air-BP and Pomerania Development Agency are only examples of companies and institutions that opened their offices at the Olivia Business Centre. About 5 000 people work now in the largest complex in the Tricity. Last year the Olivia Six building was completed. Additionally, the construction of Olivia Star, the sixth and largest office building in the centre was commenced – with Sii that signed a contract for the lease of 6 000 square metres of office space in the building. The Olivia Business Centre is also the heart of Tricity business which was confirmed with 300 conferences and events held at the Olivia Sky Club and other conference spaces.

 

New hundreds of jobs

In May 2015 Olivia Six was commissioned, continuing pace of completing one building per year. In September 2015 the German metallurgy giant ThyssenKrupp opened a Global Centre of Shared Services to hire as many as 1000 persons ultimately. Additionally, the following moved into Olivia Six – Pomerania Development Agency involved in acquiring new foreign investors, Epam Systems and PwC, which opened a Competence Centre providing consulting services, mainly for financial sector customers from the USA and West European countries. What is more, CityFit will move into Olivia Six becoming the biggest fitness club in Tricity, accessible 24/7.

Olivia Six is the first building in Poland with full triple-glazing façade which meets EU standards prevailing by 2021. The building obtained the highest grading of the ecological certificate BREEAM Excellent in the Tricity and was highly appreciated in sectoral competitions.

Additionally, the Olivia Four building was appreciated by experts. The office building was awarded prizes in the competitions: Pomeranian Storms 2014, Office Building of the Year 2014 and Green Building Awards. The high quality of Olivia Four was also appreciated by such companies as Generali, LOTOS Air‑BP, Acxiom, Atos, Qumak and Omida that opened their offices there.

In 2015 the following companies became residents of the other buildings of the Olivia Business Centre: Avaus Marketing Innovations, Broadridge, Coleman Research, or New Style Group. An additional storey at the Olivia Tower was also leased by Bayer.

 

 

Space of creativity

In 2015 the business accelerator O4 started operation in the Olivia Business Centre and it offers offices from as little as 16 square metres and modern conference space. It is one of the biggest business accelerators in Poland. The offer has found interested parties among small and medium-sized enterprises that within a few weeks occupied the space available at O4. Now over 30 companies are located there and there are many entrepreneurs that use the co-working zone. For instance, a non-public junior high school operates at O4.

 

 

 

Olivia Star has started to grow

A major event in 2015 at the Olivia Business Centre was the commencement of the construction of the next stage of the centre: a prestigious Olivia Star. The first office lease contract at Olivia Star was signed with one of the fasted growing residents of the centre – Sii, the French IT company. On the space of 6 000 square metres 700 people will find employment and the stories will be connected with an escalator.

 

Multi-functionality

The advantages for people working in the centre include an extensive offer of services on the ground floors in each building: a medical centre, restaurants and a coffee shop, a kindergarten, banks, a beauty salon, conference centres. In 2015 contracts were signed with FIVE Restaurant, Alior Bank as well as CityFit which soon will become the largest and most modern fitness club in the Tricity.

 

 

 

 

Heart of Tricity business

Olivia Business Centre is the heart of Tricity business, among other things due to the involvement in arranging events for entrepreneurs from Pomerania. Those events included such as the InfoShare conference or Startup Sauna. Meetings were held with the residents of the centre by such well-known science, sports and art personalities as: Chris Niedenthal or Peter Vesterbacka. Additionally, at the Olivia Sky Club meetings were held related to the strategy of the Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot Metropolitan Area and the gala of the “Summer Traineeship” with almost 90 companies involved.

 

 

 

More than just business

In cooperation with the University of Gdańsk, experts from companies from the Olivia Business Centre share their knowledge with students – both during lectures at the University and also during practical classes at the centre. Events that involve the local community include such as family festivities on the Children’s Day, blood donation or the Christmas Ecological Fair.

Activity was also manifested by the sports members of the Olivia Business Centre community. Also in the area of sports there were a number of events. In the Olivia Sports football & volleyball leagues, the OSTC and Goyello proved to be the best. The Centre also became involved in local sports events: Oliwa Run and Company Relay Race.

The Olivia Business Centre also became involved in initiatives promoting the city and the region. The action “Choose Gdańsk” has been encouraging people of various ages to start or continue their professional career in the city of Neptune. Like every year, in March the Olivia Business Centre was a part of the representation of the Pomeranian Voivodeship during one of the largest property fairs in Europe – MIPIM in Cannes, France.

Tradycyjnie jak co roku w ostatnią niedzielę stycznia w Gdańsku organizowany jest Koncert Noworoczny im. Jana Heweliusza. Wydarzenie stanowi integralną część Święta Gdańskiej Nauki. To wspaniała muzyczna przygoda rozpoczynająca każdy Nowy Rok w Gdańsku.

W tym roku publiczność do swojego świata muzycznego zaprosi izraelska piosenkarka i aktorka – ESTER RADA. Urodzona w 1985 roku, jedna z najbłyskotliwszych karier ostatnich lat. W 2014 roku Ester wydała swoją drugą płytę. Występowała na deskach Teatru Habima, służyła w izraelskim wojsku. Muzyka Ester to mieszanka ETHIO – JAZZ, FUN, SOUL oraz RNB.

Ambasadorem Koncertu Noworocznego jest Adam Sztaba – znany wszystkim polski kompozytor, pianista, dyrygent, aranżer oraz producent muzyczny. Współpracował m.in. z takimi wykonawcami jak: Quincy Jones, Sting, Chris Botti, Kayah, Edyta Górniak, Ewa Małas-Godlewska i wieloma innymi, wspaniałymi artystami.

Do tej pory, w ramach koncertów noworocznych, zaprezentowały się gwiazdy takie jak: Cassandra Wilson, Laika Fatien, Y’akoto, Sandra Nkake.

Tradycyjnym miejscem odkrywania gwiazd na gdańskim niebie jest Polska Filharmonia Bałtycka im. Fryderyka Chopina w Gdańsku. Podczas wydarzenia scenografia będzie nawiązywała do astronomicznego patrona, bogata w multimedia oraz aranżacje świetlne.
