It was a fantastic Children’s Day!

On Saturday, June 7, the area of Primary School No. 35 in Oliwa turned into a real town of joy. We celebrated Children’s Day together – with a flourish, smile and lots of attractions that attracted whole families.

There were tasty stops in the Food Zone – casseroles, pizza, pancakes and ice cream disappeared in the blink of an eye. The Art Zone was teeming with colours – the participants painted, created and tested the premiere of the Oliwa District Game. In Edu Zone , we experimented, solved the Rubik’s Cube and solved puzzles. And since it is a sports school – Sport Zone was really impressive! Shorttrack, figure skating, hockey and Zumba shows attracted attention, and those willing could try their hand at tennis, handball or rollerblading. For many, it was an opportunity to discover new passions in themselves!

The Fun Zone provided a constant portion of laughter: face painting, Pixel XL competitions, huge blocks and firefighter shows – there was no time for boredom.

It was a special day – full of energy, fun and neighbourly integration. Thank you for being with us!

And since #RazemMożemyWięcej, we are all the more pleased that we were supported by irreplaceable Partners: Pixel XL, Oliwa Town Hall of Culture, AP Galaktikos, Ecofloral, Medicover Polska, Bank Pekao S.A. and the Park On-Parkinson Association in Oliwa. Thanks to you, this holiday had even more meaning, color and joy.

See you next year!

Safety Day 2025

For the third time, we organized Safety Day at Olivia – an event that reminds us in a practical way how important it is to care for safety in everyday and professional life.

Safety Day attracts more and more participants every year and emphasizes even more how important it is for us to take care of safety together. Thus, on June 4, Olivia’s patio turned into a meeting place with uniformed services and experts who shared their knowledge, experience and good practices – both everyday and necessary during holiday trips. We hosted the Police and the State Fire Service.

Policewomen from the Prevention Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Gdańsk and an officer from the police station in Oliwa talked about how to protect themselves and others, while showing their equipment and answering questions from children and adults. At the police station, there were also leaflets, gadgets and information about recruitment to the service.

Crash, rollover and wall crash simulators were very popular – a strong experience that stays in your memory for a long time and really encourages you to drive more carefully. Firefighters and paramedics also presented their capabilities – you could not only see their equipment, but also learn the basics of first aid.

There was also a good atmosphere – there were burgers, ice cream and live music. But what is most important is the awareness with which the participants returned to work and home.

Thank you for being with us. Because Safety Day is not just one event in the calendar – it is an expression of care for each other, which we take very seriously at Olivia.

Sailing is not just a sport or a passion – it’s also a way to develop strategic thinking, teamwork, and mental resilience. And of course, it’s a fantastic way to spend time outdoors and – in our case – a wonderful opportunity to explore the beauty of the Gulf of Gdańsk together.

A tradition of excellence

Olivia Yacht Club was created together with Mateusz Kusznierewicz – one of Poland’s most outstanding sailors, Olympic champion in the Finn class (Atlanta 1996), and bronze medallist at the Athens Games (2004). A multiple world and European champion, he has shared his knowledge and experience with OYC members, inspiring them, teaching, and motivating continuous growth in sailing skills.

Although he no longer conducts regular training sessions, he still sails with Olivia whenever his schedule allows.

ZOOM – a painting close-up of the young staff of the Academy of Fine Arts in Olivia Centre

We cordially invite you to the next exhibition of works of contemporary art presented in the space of the Olivia Star building. This time we are hosting “ZOOM” – paintings by five artists associated with the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk.

The Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk is one of the most important art schools in Poland, with a rich history dating back to 1945. Its headquarters are located in three unique buildings in the center of Gdańsk: the monumental Great Armoury, the English House in the Main Town and the Small Armoury in the Old Suburb. These historic spaces not only give the university a unique character, but also inspire subsequent generations of artists. The Academy combines tradition with modernity, offering a wide range of courses and actively participating in the cultural life of the city.

“Zoom” is a close-up of the individual fields of vision and personal painting languages of the young teaching staff of the Academy of Fine Arts. It is also a confrontation of attitudes, aesthetics and creative strategies, which – although diverse – create a coherent and intriguing story about the condition of contemporary painting.

Artists whose works are presented at the exhibition:

Karolina Futyma
Przemysław Garczyński
Tomasz Kopcewicz
Agata Nowosielska
Agata Przyżycka

Accompanying events:

20 May, at 18:00official opening of the exhibition, vernissage
20.05–20.07.2025 – curatorial tours – an opportunity to discover works together and reflect with the curator

The exhibition is carried out under the aegis of the Olivia Centre and the Gdańsk Community Foundation.

We cordially invite all art lovers, students, residents of the Tri-City and visitors to Olivia to experience this painting narrative up close.

What emotions they were! The Olivia Yacht Club Cup Regatta is behind us!

Twelve crews and a lot of sports emotions – this is how we can briefly sum up the Olivia Yacht Club Cup Regatta, which took place on Thursday, 8 May on the waters of the Gulf of Gdańsk. This event proved that spontaneous initiatives can positively surprise with quality and energy – this is exactly what happened this time.

The wind that blew on time

Although the forecasts predicted almost windless conditions, nature decided to cooperate. The wind blew exactly when it was most needed, and the crews could demonstrate both sailing skills and tactical cleverness. As for the cheerfulness, it was good from the beginning to the end – there was a great atmosphere on the water and on the shore. There was laughter and a moment to relax, but also full concentration and healthy competition

From the sea to the office and back – business meets sailing

The regatta also had a deeper purpose: to connect the world of sailing with the everyday life of companies operating in Olivia Centre. And it worked out brilliantly. It could not be otherwise, because – as we know – sailing and business have surprisingly much in common. Cooperation, instant decision-making, trust and teamwork are all about here and here. There is a reason why so many participants of the event left the deck with the feeling that it was not only an adventure, but also a valuable lesson in acting under pressure.

Who won the cup?

The winning crew of OMIDA Group showed class and sailing determination, winning first place with a score of 5 points. The Olivia Centre team was right behind them, and the podium was closed by the Adar crew. Here are the full results of the regatta:

Regatta and what next?

The event is organized in partnership with the Polish Sailing League, it was also the Business Open Day of the Sailing League 2025 for the Residents of Olivia Centre. Now, there are certainly companies from Olivia willing to join this unique initiative. The Business Sailing League has been operating in the Tri-City since 2015. It is a series of regattas that have gained recognition of many Pomeranian companies looking for an unusual form of team integration and relationship building. It is not only a great adventure and a chance to catch the sailing bug, but also a great opportunity to strengthen cooperation, develop the ability to act under pressure and make quick decisions, as well as build lasting business relationships in an atmosphere of sports emotions and beautiful sailing traditions.

Recruitment for the next edition is ongoing, and all details are available on this website.

Thank you – and see you on the water!

An office that appeals to the senses. Take part in the survey of the Gdańsk University of Technology!

The modern work environment is undergoing dynamic changes – more and more employers consciously shape their office spaces to support the efficiency and creativity of employees or help them in teamworking. Modern offices take into account the diverse needs of users, offering shared and individual work zones, taking care of places for relaxation, regeneration, and even… a short, comforting nap. In many companies, flexible spaces that can be easily and quickly adapted to changing needs, focused work rooms, rooms dedicated to team brainstorming, play zones, spacious kitchens and dining rooms, or properly soundproofed phone booths are a standard in many companies.

Space design and well-being

Research clearly shows that the arrangement of office and residential spaces has a significant impact on our well-being, mental health, and efficiency. Appropriate lighting, the use of natural materials, taking into account the principles of neuroaesthetics; All of this helps to create an environment conducive to well-being. Biophilia, for example, plays an increasingly important role in design, including the concept of “Biophilic Dopamine”, emphasizing the relationship between man and nature and helping to create spaces that have a positive impact on our senses.

At Olivia Centre, we attach great importance to creating work environments that not only meet functional requirements, but also really support wellbeing. It is no coincidence that we cooperate with the Design Anatomy studio, which has been creating creative and functional interiors for years, corresponding to the latest trends, such as the already mentioned biophilic design or sustainable use of materials. Light plays a significant role in DA projects, as it is one of the most important factors shaping the quality of space. The studio also takes exceptional care of the acoustic comfort of the rooms.

By creating spaces that meet the needs of their users, Design Anatomy is based not only on conclusions resulting from the observation of changing work models, but also those from research. The relationships between the work environment and efficiency, mental well-being, well-being and creativity are analyzed, among m.in other things. This allows designers to tailor solutions to the real needs of the organization and their team members. As a result, offices designed by Design Anatomy gain recognition from the industry and are repeatedly awarded for consistent aesthetics, functionality and understanding of the real needs of users.

  • European Property Awards 2024Best Office Interior award for the Just Join IT office design
  • European Property Awards 2023 – two awards for projects for LPP Contact Center and Deribit
  • CBRE Office Superstar 2019 – awards for the best office in the Tri-City for Nordea and the best recreational space for Sii Poland

Help change workplaces for the better. Take part in the study of a PhD student at the Gdańsk University of Technology!

We are convinced that creating space with the well-being of users in mind should be based on constantly deepened knowledge. That’s why we support research that helps us better understand how the work environment affects our concentration, health, well-being and relationships. We cooperate with universities, including the Faculty of Architecture of the Gdańsk University of Technology.

This time we encourage you toabout participation in an anonymous survey on the research carried out by Joanna Francuzik, a PhD student at Gdańsk Tech, whose scientific interests focus on shaping the working environment in office spaces, with particular emphasis on the role of lighting, ergonomics and spatial layout. The aim of the study is to analyse the impact of natural and artificial lighting and space organisation on the daily functioning of employees. The data collected will be used to develop specific design recommendations to support the creation of more functional, healthy and friendly workplaces.

Your opinion matters a lot!

Importance of results

The results of the study will allow for a better understanding of the needs of office users and indicate specific factors affecting comfort, professional satisfaction and general well-being. This knowledge will be used in the design and modernization of space at Olivia Centre – so as to better support everyday work, regeneration and social interactions.

A few office design trends in Design Anatomy

▪☑︎ Biophilic design – focus on nature

Contact with nature improves concentration, reduces stress and has a positive effect on mental health. In this spirit, m.in was designed. Olivia Garden.

▪︎ Light – a factor of mood and efficiency

Proper lighting improves concentration, supports the circadian rhythm and affects the mood. Check more…

▪☑︎ Neurodiversity – a space for every style of work

Contemporary teams are cognitively diverse. When designing offices, Design Anatomy takes into account different ways of receiving stimuli and the need for individualization. It introduces, for example, quiet work zones, video call booths, and designs focus and regeneration areas, which increases comfort and supports inclusivity.

▪☑︎ Less waste and sustainability

Ecological materials, recycled equipment, modularity and the possibility of easy rearrangement – these are the standard in projects carried out in Olivia Centre today. Offices designed by Design Anatomy – m.in. for Sii Poland (rearrangement 2023-2024) or Viterra – use, for example, PET panels, recycled fabrics, and even elements made of metal scraps and cable trays. It is a responsible and aesthetic design.

▪︎ Flex spaces

Hybrid work, project teams, changing everyday needs – flexibility is the key today. Therefore, it is worth designing spaces that can be easily rearranged, adapted to meetings, individual work or joint brainstorming. Thanks to this, the office is alive and responds to the rhythm of the organization.

▪☑︎ Wellness and mindfulness zones

The well-being of employees can be supported not only by ergonomics, but also by creating places of relaxation and regeneration. Green terraces, stretching zones, indoor gardens – these are spaces that allow you to breathe and reset.

▪︎ Ergonomics and personalization of the workstation

Adjustable desks, ergonomic chairs, the ability to change the working position, individual lighting – all this has a real impact on the health and comfort of employees.
