We are sailing at the end of the winter holidays!

Whoever loves winter and the sea, short and long journeys, unforgettable views and excellent company simply must take part in this event. We invite you to a unique, winter sailing with Olivia Yacht Club.

  • What counts is willingness, good mood and wind (of course!)
  • We invite all intrepid people – beginners and experienced.
  • Those who are simply driven by the winter weather and want to do unique things.
  • Taking part in a cruise does not require sailing experience, but it is possible to gain it and catch the bug for an activity that can change your life!

There are two suggestions for cruises on the Bay of Gdansk:

  • TRIP TO HEL: Marina Sopot – Hel – Sunday 27.02, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (150 PLN, we sail with a minimum of 4 people)
  • INTO THE SUNSET: Sopot – Sopot: 27.02, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (50 PLN)

HERE IS THE LINK TO BUY YOUR TICKET!

What to take (apart from a good mood)?

  • Hats, gloves, and a winter jacket are all items of clothing that are worth having on the water. A storm jacket or other clothing that protects against wind or frost – great! It’s better not to take advantage of the big winter hat;) than to feel its absence. (Holidays are coming to an end, but a ski outfit can come in handy
  • Below deck there is space not only to leave things, but also to warm up and enjoy coffee or tea.
  • Boots – sporty, with a white sole (we recommend ski socks, what about them?)

We are helping Ukraine! We collect the most necessary things together!

The war has driven thousands of Ukrainians from their homes. Many of them are and will continue to seek refuge in Poland and in our city. They need basic personal hygiene products, food products and warm coats – things that will help them find their way in the new reality and gain strength for the coming days.

We are in contact with the Polish Red Cross in Gdansk. A collection of the most necessary things for our friends from Ukraine, the list of which we have from the Polish Red Cross, is starting in Olivia. Let’s help together!

Let’s help together: Olivia and Friends fundraiser

We create a SAFE space TOGETHER for mothers and children from UKRAINE.

The war drove thousands from their homes women and children. Many of them, in search of safety, reach our city, Gdańsk. Regardless of whether it is a destination for them or a stopover on their journey, they first go to the information and coordination point. It is here that they are provided with legal, psychological and medical assistance.

This is where you need it create a friendly and comfortable space for babies to be able to feed, change, soothe in a crisis situation. You need comfortable armchairs, cots, bathtubs, soft blankets and humming teddy bears that will allow you to find peace and strength for the coming days.

As the Olivia Centre community, we are raising funds to equip this space, in accordance with the demand reported by the Regional Volunteer Centre in GdańskDonate money to the fundraiser and help us create a safe space for mothers and children from Ukraine.

The collected funds will be used to purchase furniture and equipment indicated by the Regional Volunteer Centre.

We are collecting money for the purchase of: armchairs, nursing pillows, a cabinet, a bathtub, travel cots, co-sleeper cots, bedside lamps, sterilizers, breast pumps, blankets, bottles and hygiene products for mothers and babies.

PS. There are 12,000 of us working at Olivia Centre on a daily basis. We differ from each other in terms of age, positions and companies. We come from different districts, cities and even countries. But our community is united by passions and initiatives that change the world for the better. This time, we want Ukrainian mothers and their children to feel cared for when they come to our city. An office with an apartment for IT workers from Ukraine

Our resident, Softserve, one of the most dynamically developing IT companies in Gdansk, rented the entire building to help the relocated citizens of Ukraine. It is also recruiting for 100 positions, which can also be filled by people from across the eastern border.

Softserve is a company that dates back to 2014, but it appeared in Pomerania only in October 2021, opening a small office in the O4 coworking space. Currently, it has increased its leasable area by 1400% by moving to the most prestigious building in Northern Poland – Olivia Star. At the same time, it is worth noting that the Gdańsk office is currently the company’s 7th local office in Poland. Other branches are located in Łódź, Wrocław, Warsaw, Gliwice, Białystok and Kraków.

The expansion of the space is related to the new contracts that the company has won in recent months. The recruited staff will work for Singapore’s largest and most modern bank, which has won numerous awards in recent years, m.in. the titles of the best bank in Singapore and Asia in 2021 according to Global Finance or Euromoney. As Sebastian Drzewiecki, Poland Country Manager at SoftServe, explains, behind the development of the company’s operations in Gdańsk there are competitive advantages that help in the company’s growth: An important motivation in choosing Gdańsk as our next business and recruitment hub was access to the best talents on the market, a well-developed network of universities, as well as an excellent geographical location.

The advantages of the Tri-City are already appreciated by the company’s employees: It is a great place to work! – says Anastasiia Smolina, Intermediate Office Infrastructure Specialist at SoftServe. The top floor offers panoramic views of the sea. And on top of that, a beautiful garden where you can get inspired and relax even during your lunch break. I remember when Sebastian Drzewiecki introduced the office to our team, and I said: “If we choose the location of our office in Olivia Star, I’m ready to move to Gdańsk!”

Such dynamic development does not take place without the company’s social involvement. SoftServe has leased an entire building in Gdańsk’s Zaspa, to which it is relocating some of its employees and their families from war-torn Ukraine. Interestingly, this building was created in cooperation with the award-winning Design Anatomy design team, which is also responsible for arranging the spaces in Olivia Centre – both office and Olivia Garden or the observation deck at 32. floor of the building. The possibility of renting office space with apartments turned out to be crucial for the company’s development in such a difficult time as the war in Ukraine. As part of the assistance provided, the company offers not only places to stay in Poland, but also comprehensive assistance in the relocation process as well as legal, financial and logistical support. People are the greatest asset of our company – says Sebastian Drzewiecki. As the biggest benefit offered, SoftServe indicates the ability to work with the use of the latest technologies, in interesting and demanding projects. In addition, very transparent career paths and a special program supporting professional promotions, the possibility of changing projects or roles, our own university and numerous educational projects, as well as a unique, non-corporate atmosphere – adds Sebastian Drzewiecki.

SoftServe is a company founded in 1993 by students of the Lviv Polytechnic University. Currently, the company employs almost 13,000 people. people around the world (Europe, the United States, South America), and SoftServe Poland is a separate entity with its own customers, finances and infrastructure.

Charity for children from Ukraine

Conferences, lectures, yoga and concerts have already taken place in Olivia Garden, but there has never been a magic show! On Thursday afternoon we were visited by Bill Herz, one of the most renowned illusionists in the world. Over the many years of his career, Bill has earned the title of “King of Corporate Magic.” No wonder – it has performed for almost all Fortune 500 companies.

Now she performs for charity for the youngest audience. Especially the one whose carefree moments were taken away by the war. For the past few weeks, Bill has been traveling around Poland, visiting cities where a particularly large number of Ukrainian families have found shelter. He is accompanied by writer R. Cooper, editor of The Atlantic, who describes the places he has visited in order to publish the final report in the next issue. Bill’s performance was co-created by his lovely wife, son, and assistant. They were in constant contact with the audience, and each of their lines was translated into Ukrainian by the translator Anya.

Over 120 people took part in both screenings. There were toddlers taking their first steps, preschool toddlers and adult schoolchildren. More than one face opened in surprise.

Our guests and artists were impressed by the garden, the viewing floor and the atmosphere. We, on the other hand, are impressed by Bill’s incredible energy, humor and magic.

Do you love the vastness of the sea, extraordinary adventures and wind? You are in the perfect place, that is in Olivia:)

Olivia Garden: what you need to know

It is an amazing, tropical garden in the heart of the largest business center in Poland, i.e. Olivia Centre. Olivia Garden combines innovative thinking about the place of work and rest with the need to return to nature. The concept of the place is based on the belief that the quality of the space in which we work and stay directly translates into the quality of life and productivity. Therefore, we have created a place for you that allows you to work and play, while cultivating the innate relationship between man and nature.
