“Gdańsk is becoming a very important centre for IT services to the thyssenkrupp group. Similar centres have also emerged in other places in the world, but this location would be a leading one in terms of headcount. A great diversity in the nature of business of the group companies is the opportunity to gain unique experience and work with different technologies. We promote employee development and encourage our people to contribute to a friendly office atmosphere“, says Robert Góra, President of the Board, ThyssenKrupp Group Services Gdańsk Sp. Ltd.
“The newly created team in Gdańsk is full of energy to work and activities, after work hours as well, e.g. the participation in sports events, care for the environment initiatives or sector conferences“, adds Rafał Grabowski, IT Team Leader, ThyssenKrupp Group Services Gdańsk.
“The most important development plans for the centre are expanding the existing team of SAP system specialists and consultants in all the areas from 20 to 100 people within the next one and a half years. Therefore, we are looking for people with vast experience who want to develop their career in SAP consulting, leaders ready to take responsibility for creating their own teams and people without any particular experience but eager to learn“, sums up Łukasz Narojczyk Manager of the Application Support and Development Department.

“I congratulate thyssenkrupp on such a dynamic growth and on new ideas. I am also pleased with the company’s plans to employ specialists from the broad IT sector, which proves that the market in the Tri-City is prepared for the expectations of such companies as thyssenkrupp. I can assure you that as the President of INVESTGDA and partner to Invest in Pomerania I will make every effort for ThyssenKrupp to have favourable conditions for the further development of its project in Gdańsk”, said Alan Aleksandrowicz, President of the Board, INVESTGDA.
On the occasion of Children’s Day, on Saturday, 4 June, a Play Town will be created at Olivia Business Centre! For the youngest residents of Oliwa and other nearby districts, as well as for the children of Olivia Business Centre residents, there will be many attractions (m.in. a theatre performance, dance and sports classes, an inflatable playground, a show of scientific experiments). Admission is free.
History of Oliwa (; Òlëwa or Òléwa, Latin and German: Oliva) is full of interesting events. The oldest document related to the monastery in Oliwa is the foundation document issued on 18 March 1186 by the son of Subisław Sambor I. From that time on, for seven centuries, the development of Oliwa was closely connected with the Cistercian Order. Cistercian monasteries were important centers of culture, science and medicine in the Middle Ages, the monks also introduced a new agrarian culture and enormous technical progress in crafts and agriculture. The unquestionable contribution of the Cistercians to the development of Oliwa and the richness of their cultural and material heritage creates an opportunity to draw an analogy between such a rich, colourful history and today’s dynamic development of a new place for the inhabitants of Gdańsk and the inhabitants of the metropolis, and to combine them into one creative story. We are connected by Oliwa and its history, tradition and culture.
