In 6 months, Sii will move to the modern and tallest office building in the Tri-City Olivia Star in the Olivia Business Centre complex. Within six months, the second largest IT employer in Northern Poland will create creative interiors inspired by Silicon Valley giants. Work is underway on the arrangement of work, relaxation and sports zones and the construction of a slide connecting the adjacent floors.

The company’s goal is to create the most comfortable and modern workplace, which is to accommodate nearly 1,100 employees within 5 years. In May 2017, more than 700 engineers will occupy 5 floors of the office building with a total area of 6,500 sqm. Sii’s new office will include a gym, a climbing wall, relaxation rooms and games zones with billiards, table tennis, game consoles, a room for breastfeeding mothers, a space for children and many other attractions.

Michael Desmurs, Director of Sii Gdansk says – Our office will primarily be a workplace where we conduct technologically advanced IT projects. However, we know that comfortable conditions, team integration and the opportunity to regenerate contribute to greater satisfaction, satisfaction and, above all, greater efficiency of employees. Then they identify more strongly with the employer, they are more motivated and thanks to that we all benefit from it.

An employee-friendly office will be created in Olivia Star, which will stand out among IT companies in Poland. Office spaces that consist only of standard workspaces such as desks and armchairs are a thing of the past. There is not much time left before Sii’s move, so the work on the interior design is advanced. The official opening of the new headquarters in Olivia Star is planned for May 2017.

They started with a discussion at the kitchen table. Today, after 10 years of existence, they employ over 100 people in three offices, in Gdańsk, Koszalin and the Netherlands. In total, they have completed over 600 IT projects for clients in Europe and the United States. They argue that Agile is not a methodology. Agile is a state of mind. They will celebrate their round birthday in an unusual way.

In November, Goyello, one of the first residents of Olivia Business Centre, celebrates its tenth anniversary. The team decided to celebrate the occasion in a special way. They invited employees, customers, experts whose knowledge they value and young people whose opinion they respect to participate in the project.

In addition to the traditional cake and party, we wanted the souvenir of our 10th birthday to be something tangible and valuable at the same time – says Kasia Szemro, marketing director at Goyello. – Something that will be a gift both for ourselves and for our customers and business partners. We focused on good content and created “Move IT”.

“Move IT” is a magazine that features interviews with the company’s customers, videos, statements from team members about current trends in the industry, and interviews with Agile experts. The authors of the publication presented the story of Goyello in the form of an infographic, created a comic book about the adventures of a hero named Paolo Goyello and asked children what app they would design if they had the opportunity.

When preparing the magazine, we looked at the changes that have taken place in the industry over the past 10 years ,” says Kasia Szemro. – We have shown the success stories of our customers from their point of view. We have given the floor to our people, who are experts in their fields. We were also curious about what expectations customers might have of us in the future. That is why we invited young people to join the conversation.

The “Move IT” magazine is available in a traditional print version, intended for the company’s employees and customers, and in an electronic version, available to everyone on the Goyello website.

Peter Horsen and Arie de Bruin founded Goyello on November 29, 2006. They opted for a Western style of management, a flat structure and a team of talented Polish programmers. Last year, we prepared a lot of beautiful decorations together. We will be able to admire all of them, also this Christmas, on the Christmas tree placed at the reception of the Olivia Gate A building.

This year…

• The competition is a one-stage, closed competition (addressed only to employees and associates of tenants of office and service space in the “Olivia Business Centre” complex and to members of their immediate family.
• Applications are accepted until December 10, 2016, 24:00. Entries submitted after this date will not be considered for the Competition.
• The finished decoration should be placed on the Christmas tree located in the hall of the office building which is a part of the “Olivia Business Centre” office complex, where the office of the tenant for whom the Participant works/cooperates is located.
• Works submitted for the Competition will be subject to evaluation by the Competition Jury, appointed by the Organizer by 10 December 2016. When evaluating the works, the jury will take into account the originality, aesthetics of the works, reference to tradition and commitment of the Participants.
• The results of the Competition will be announced on the www.oliviacentre.com’s website and on the “Olivia Business Centre” fanpage on Facebook on 14 December 2016.
• Participation in the Competition is voluntary. A person entering the Competition in accordance with the provisions of these Regulations becomes its participant (hereinafter referred to as the “Participant“) and thus accepts all the provisions of the Regulations.
• Entrants may participate in the Competition individually or as a team of up to five people. A participant – individually or as part of a team – may make or participate in the production of a maximum of one Christmas decoration (competition entry), with a maximum of five competition entries being submitted from one tenant.
• In order to participate in the Competition, the Participants must submit an application and make a Christmas decoration by themselves. The process of creating an ornament must be documented with at least one photo.
• Applications for participation in the Competition should be submitted only via e-mail to the following e-mail address: malgorzata.ziemkowska@oliviacentre.com. The application should include:
  • names and surnames of the Participants;
  • the name of the tenant of the “Olivia Business Centre” office complex;
  • at least one photo of the ornament preparation process and at least one photo of the final result;
  • information on the place where the Christmas decoration will be placed (lobby of the selected building).

Let’s get into the spirit of Christmas. Let’s put our hearts into the preparation of decorations and give an individual character to the décor of the Olivia Business Centre reception during this special family time.

On 24 November, entrepreneurs from Pomerania will have the opportunity to establish new, international business relations. The Pomeranian Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Marshal’s Office of the Pomeranian Voivodeship and Olivia Business Centre will host representatives of the authorities and industrialists from Indonesia.

The event at OBC will be attended by representatives of companies from the medical, civil engineering, maritime, port and fishing industries, i.e. sectors that generate significant profits in our region. Businessmen from our province will meet managers from East Java interested in new export locations and new markets for their goods and services, looking for attractive partners for economic cooperation.

– This is an excellent opportunity to present the profile of your company’s activity and establish prospective business contacts. It is all the more interesting that in the coming years we will have to deal with the emergence of new geographical directions in Polish foreign trade, so the share of new, so far little exploited markets will grow in exports, including, of course, Asia. It is also worth remembering that this visit was very much supported by our Ambassador to Indonesia, Mr. Tadeusz Szumowski – said Krystyna Wróblewska, Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Marshal’s Office.

The meeting was attended by m.in. Arif Afandi, CEO of PT Lamongan Integrated Shorbase (LIS, Marine & Port Industry); Rakim Jamhadi, Member of the Expert Group of the East Java Chamber of Commerce and the Global Economic Service, President of the Surabaya Chamber of Commerce (construction, housing); Sutjianto Kusuma from Avila Prima Intra Makmur (industry: civil engineering, fishing industry); Irawati Marga, Director of Adi Husada Hospital (Highly Specialized Medical Equipment). The delegation will be accompanied by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Surabaya, businessman and philanthropist Soedomo Mergonot (food industry – coffee production tycoon Kopi Luwak and medical).
