Olivia Centre – a well-regarded company!

Olivia Centre has been awarded the title of “Well-Perceived Company” by the Business Centre Club. The award ceremony took place on November 24, 2023. in Warsaw’s The Oxford Tower. This is the fourteenth edition of the BCC competition, the aim of which is to promote companies that conduct socially responsible business and spread knowledge on this subject.

 

During the ceremony, the winners were awarded special diplomas. In addition to the winners of the competition, the event was attended by members of the jury (chairman, Paweł Łukasiak; president of the Academy for the Development of Philanthropy in Poland, Jacek Goliszewski, PhD; president of BCC, Dr. Piotr Glen from the Warsaw School of Economics and Piotr Onikki-Górski, BCC expert on corporate social responsibility), BCC chancellors from the region of the awarded company and people associated with the idea of CSR.

 

The title of “Well-Perceived Company” can be awarded to any member of the Business Centre Club – a private or state-owned enterprise or its branch. It can be a small, medium or large company. The competition is nationwide. The winners of the “Well-Perceived Company” who continue their activities based on the principles of corporate social responsibility in the following years may apply for the title in the next editions of the competition. This year’s edition of the competition was held under the patronage of Marlena Maląg, Minister of Labour and Social Policy, and Prof. Piotr Wachowiak, Rector of the Warsaw School of Economics.

 

The assessment is made on the basis of the Competition Questionnaire, which contains basic information about the activities of each company in the context of compliance with CSR principles. The relevant elements to be assessed are:

  • developed and implemented strategy of activities in the area of ESG and CSR,
  • effectiveness and methods of internal and external communication of the company on this subject,
  • the company’s policy towards employees, customers and contractors,
  • running their own social projects,
  • taking into account the needs and opinions of the local community with which the company is neighbouring,
  • adherence to the principles of corporate social responsibility in the field of ecology, market and charitable activities.

 

Olivia Centre has a lot to be proud of. These include, m.in, the

, projects for the benefit of the local community, such as the
Oliwa Neighbourhood Budget
, numerous initiatives supporting the residents of Gdańsk, such as charity concerts ”
Heart with Ukraine
” or
“Good Tony”,
charity Christmas fairs involving public benefit organisations, Children’s Day for residents and neighbours from the Oliwa District… Every year, Olivia organizes several hundred events to which it invites Gdańsk residents, it also runs Passion, sailing, volleyball and photography clubs, whose meetings and classes are open.
