ThyssenKrupp opens Shared Services Centre at Olivia Business Centre in Gdansk

The German concern „ThyssenKrupp”, one of the biggest steel manufacturers in the world, has signed an agreement for the usage of 5,000 square metres of office area in Olivia Six building at Olivia Business Centre in Gdansk. A Global Shared Services Centre will be created there, in which even 700 people will find employment. It is the biggest transaction on the Gdansk Metropolitan Area office market in the last year. ThyssenKrupp will move into the building in the first half of this year. Global real estate adviser Cushman & Wakefield represented ThyssenKrupp in the transaction and will be responsible for the office fit-out design.

A Global Shared Services Centre will be created there, in which even 700 people will find employment. It is the biggest transaction on the Gdansk Metropolitan Area office market in the last year. The Global Shared Services Centre for „ThyssenKrupp” will operate corporate business processes, including finance, accounting, administration, HR processes, and real property management on international markets. ThyssenKrupp plans to employ there up to 700 people.

The Centre will be situated across four floors in Olivia Six. The interior design of ThyssenKrupp will refer to the technological and ecological character of the company. With a mix of natural wood veneers, mosses and raw concrete. A ‘Work Lounge’, that is a ‘sphere of relaxation’ will also be created.

“Enough office space for our growing SSC, perfect location, easy to reach from all directions and a wide range of local amenities such as medical centre, shopping and sport facilities in a walking distance, that is what we were looking for for our final office place” – said Robert Góra, Head of Shared Services Gdańsk at ThyssenKrupp. – “Therefore, the Olivia Business Centre offers more than just offices and we are glad to move in here”.

The eighteen storey Olivia Six building is the next stage of Olivia Business Centre with a gross leasable of circa 18,000 square metres. Parking is situated on the three underground floors with client services on the ground floor. Currently finishing works to the facade and internal common areas are being completed. The GLA for the entire Olivia Business Centre (after the Olivia Six building is handed over for usage) will amount to 74,000 square metres, which will make the project the second biggest in Poland. The ultimate floor area of Olivia Business Centre is projected to exceed 120,000 square metres. The centre’s buildings are delivered at a rate of one every 12 months. Building permits for the construction of the next two offices have been already issued.
