The next, fourth season of OBC Residents’ futsal league has reached a spectacular end. It was not lacking in surprises and returns and especially in strong emotions. 49 matches were played, which designated a winning team — OSTC.

Veterans of OBC’s futsal league did not quite expect such a turn of events. In the last week of September 2014, when the fourth season of OBC’s futsal league started, OSTC — one of the rookies — won its first match against Playsoft as decisively as 17:2, and this was a forecast for later events. The representatives of this team did not lose even a single match, and what’s more, they scored a two-digit result in seven out of eleven matches. Ultimately, OSTC defeated Energa Obrót in one of the semi-finals with the 10:2 result and Niezniszczalni (Imperishable) DREAM TEAM Energa in the final with the 7:4 result. OSTCS’s player, Marek Biegała, won also the title of the top scorer.

What happened hitherto to Niezniszczalni is very interesting. They returned in a good style this year. After the victorious first season, the team was divided into Niezniszczalni Grupa Energa and Dream Team Energa ITE. „Dream team” placed first in the second season, and fourth in the third. This season, the two teams were joined and together they reached the final. The current defenders of the title – Meritum Bank – placed fourth this time. Energa Obrót, which placed second in the second season, this time (as in the third season) secured the last place on the podium.

„Futsal league at OBC is a great thing. We have an opportunity to relieve everyday stresses with our colleagues and to perform an activity that gives us a lot of pleasure. It is also a way to get to know not only your co-workers, but also people from other companies.  I try to help my teammates on the court as much as I can ,and every year we fight for leading places in the league table,” says Tomasz Aftański, the captain of Energa Obrót.

„I congratulate all the teams on the spirit of sports competition and the finalists – on good results,” says Paweł Pinker from the marketing at OBC, who coordinates the Olivia Sports programme. „The next season of leagues shows that Olivia Sports, this unique programme, has entered the life of our business centre for good. Many people who work at Olivia Business Centre follow the futsal league or the volleyball league with the same attention they follow the Champions League. This makes us happy because sports is one of the factors that strongly integrate the community of OBC.”

After the volleyball league finished, an official award-granting ceremony for both disciplines’ teams will be held. Sign-ups for the new season of sports leagues may be already send at the following address: marketing@oliviacentre.pl.
