Rödl & Partner training: Significant changes in law and taxes in 2017

We are pleased to announce that our Resident, Rödl & Partner, is organising another event in the “Let’s meet at Rödl & Partner” series and invites you to a meeting devoted to significant changes in law and taxes in 2017. The training will take place on 7 February, from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. in Olivia Sky Club (Olivia Tower building, 12th floor).

PROGRAM:

09:00 – 09:15 Registration, welcome coffee

09:15 – 10:15 Discussion of selected changes in the law in 2017 (entry into force of the amendment package – “100 changes for companies”)

  • Employment law (m.in. minimum monthly and hourly wage)
  • Contract law – recording the number of hours of performance of an order or provision of services (plus exclusions of this obligation)
  • Civil law (m.in. inappropriate joint commercial proxy, Saturday as the last day of the deadline)
  • Commercial law (m.in. control proceedings of entrepreneurs)
  • Companies (m.in.: Increasing transparency in the event of a conflict of interest, Improving the protection of minority shareholders, Changing the rules for determining and paying dividends in joint-stock companies)

Teacher

MonikaMonika Spotowska – Attorney-at-law, tax advisor, graduate of the Faculty of Law at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) and the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. A graduate of postgraduate studies in “International Tax Strategies” at the Warsaw School of Economics. He specialises in issues related to double taxation treaties, income taxes and social insurance, with particular emphasis on the issue of cross-border employment of employees and optimisation of tax burdens. She is also interested in issues related to investments in Special Economic Zones. Co-author of books entitled “Work of foreigners in Poland”, “Functioning of enterprises in a special economic zone” and “Clause against tax avoidance”. Author of many publications on legal and tax issues.


IwonaIwona Łaska-Rutkowska –
A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw and postgraduate studies in “Taxes and Tax Law” at the University of Warsaw. Erasmus scholarship holder at the Technical University of Dresden. A specialist in the field of value added tax (VAT), corporate income tax, as well as an expert in the field of Special Economic Zones. He regularly participates m. in numerous Due Diligence and tax reviews. She is the author of many publications on tax law.

PeterPiotr Mrowiec – A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań and the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), where he obtained the title of Master of German & Polish Law. He specialises in providing comprehensive legal advice to companies with foreign capital, cross-border redress, as well as securing the interests of Polish entities investing abroad, in particular in Germany. Piotr Mrowiec also advises entities from the renewable energy sources industry. Since 2012, he has been entered on the list of mediators at the Regional Court in Poznań. Piotr Mrowiec is the author of many publications, as well as a frequent speaker in Poland and abroad.

The deadline for submissions is 1 February 2017. The cost of participation is: PLN 200 + 23% VAT per person. For clients of Rödl & Partner, members of AHK, SPCC, “Employers of Pomerania” and the Kashubian Employers’ Association, as well as residents of OBC, the cost of participation is PLN 100 + 23% VAT.

The organizers provide coffee breaks and a cold buffet for the participants. The number of places is limited, and the condition for participation is to receive an e-mail confirmation of registration.
