Go India – practical aspects of investing in India

We cordially invite you to a seminar organised by Rödl & Partner, of which Olivia Business Centre is a partner. The meeting will take place on 11.05 (Thursday), from 1.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m., at the Pomerania Development Agency (Olivia Six, 12th floor). The seminar aims to introduce the practical aspects of investing in India. The keynote speaker will be Mr. Michael Wekezer, Delhi Office Manager, a person who has been living in India for many years, supporting foreign investors in all matters related to entering the Indian market.

Speakers

Anna Pilarska, Rödl & Partner

A graduate of Law at the University of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and postgraduate studies (magister legum, LL.M.) in German law at the European University “Viadrina” in Frankfurt (Oder). Tax advisor, co-author of press publications, author of the book “Polnisches Sachenrecht. Polish property law”. She has gained experience in conducting due diligence and tax reviews, implementing comprehensive tax projects, and providing ongoing tax advice to Polish and foreign clients. Anna Pilarska is a specialist in the field of income taxes, with particular emphasis on international law, taxes on goods and services, real estate taxes, company law and civil law.

Małgorzata Guzińska-Błońska, Rödl & Partner
A graduate of economics at the University of Gdańsk. In 2003 she became a member of ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). From 2009 to 2015, she was an inspector of the Polish National Council of Statutory Auditors. She has been with Rödl & Partner since 2001. Małgorzata Guzińska-Błońska is the Head of the Audit Department in the Gdańsk office, where she audits separate and consolidated financial statements (including public companies), transforms financial statements prepared in accordance with the provisions of the Accounting Act into IFRS/IAS, US GAAP or in accordance with the German Balance Sheet Law (HGB). She specializes in consolidated financial statements.

Michael Wekezer, Rödl & Partner

Michael joined Rödl & Partner India in 2013. and is the manager of the Delhi office. After studying in Hamburg, Heidelberg and Newcastle upon Tyne, he qualified as a lawyer in Germany (Rechtsanwalt) and England and Wales (Solicitor). For the past 12 years, he has been advising clients in Germany, Great Britain and India. In his current work, Michael Wekezer focuses on commercial law agreements, joint ventures and M&A transactions. It also provides advisory services in the field of compliance, including foreign exchange regulations, financing of subsidiaries established in India by foreign companies, including all issues related to entering the Indian market. Michael speaks Polish, English, German and Hindi at an intermediate level.

Piotr Mrowiec, Rödl & Partner

Piotr Mrowiec is the head of the legal and tax department in Rödl & Partner’s Gdańsk office. He specializes in comprehensive legal advice for foreign entrepreneurs and Polish entrepreneurs investing abroad. In addition, he deals with the issues of the implementation of projects in the field of renewable energy. He advises clients in Polish, German and English, and is the author of many publications, including on renewable energy and cross-border redress. Frequent speaker in Poland and abroad. A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, as well as the Faculty of Law at the European University “Viadrina” in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany. Attorney-at-law and mediator entered on the court list of mediators.

Katarzyna Matuszak, Pomerania Development Agency S.A.

Director of the Entrepreneurship Development Department, Pomerania Development Agency S.A. A graduate of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk. For over 14 years, he has been developing, coordinating and implementing projects aimed at the development of entrepreneurship and international cooperation. She gained her knowledge about the needs and problems of small and medium-sized enterprises as a consultant at the Euro Info Centre in Gdańsk, coordinator of the Entrepreneurship Centre in Sopot at the Free Entrepreneurship Association, and since 2008 at the Pomerania Development Agency S.A.
