What emotions they were! The Olivia Yacht Club Cup Regatta is behind us!

Twelve crews and a lot of sports emotions – this is how we can briefly sum up the Olivia Yacht Club Cup Regatta, which took place on Thursday, 8 May on the waters of the Gulf of Gdańsk. This event proved that spontaneous initiatives can positively surprise with quality and energy – this is exactly what happened this time.

The wind that blew on time

Although the forecasts predicted almost windless conditions, nature decided to cooperate. The wind blew exactly when it was most needed, and the crews could demonstrate both sailing skills and tactical cleverness. As for the cheerfulness, it was good from the beginning to the end – there was a great atmosphere on the water and on the shore. There was laughter and a moment to relax, but also full concentration and healthy competition

From the sea to the office and back – business meets sailing

The regatta also had a deeper purpose: to connect the world of sailing with the everyday life of companies operating in Olivia Centre. And it worked out brilliantly. It could not be otherwise, because – as we know – sailing and business have surprisingly much in common. Cooperation, instant decision-making, trust and teamwork are all about here and here. There is a reason why so many participants of the event left the deck with the feeling that it was not only an adventure, but also a valuable lesson in acting under pressure.

Who won the cup?

The winning crew of OMIDA Group showed class and sailing determination, winning first place with a score of 5 points. The Olivia Centre team was right behind them, and the podium was closed by the Adar crew. Here are the full results of the regatta:

Regatta and what next?

The event is organized in partnership with the Polish Sailing League, it was also the Business Open Day of the Sailing League 2025 for the Residents of Olivia Centre. Now, there are certainly companies from Olivia willing to join this unique initiative. The Business Sailing League has been operating in the Tri-City since 2015. It is a series of regattas that have gained recognition of many Pomeranian companies looking for an unusual form of team integration and relationship building. It is not only a great adventure and a chance to catch the sailing bug, but also a great opportunity to strengthen cooperation, develop the ability to act under pressure and make quick decisions, as well as build lasting business relationships in an atmosphere of sports emotions and beautiful sailing traditions.

Recruitment for the next edition is ongoing, and all details are available on this website.
