On June 22, 2023 – for the second time – Thinking Zone is organizing an Open Forum!

It is an open debate on a socially important topic, which will be prepared and led by students of the Thinking Zone High School. The young people decided that the topic they would like to focus on, discuss and hear each other is the topic of social norms and rules and the freedom that is very closely related to them.

The Thinking Zone Open Forum
was therefore titled:
What takes away our freedom, what do rules give us.

“During the debate, we want to reflect on the extent to which social norms and rules that we establish as binding in a given space are helpful to us for a given social group , to what extent they are needed (or perhaps unnecessary?) – What do they give us? We will also consider whether the social rules that apply in our environments (school, work, city) limit our freedom, or maybe they care about this freedom? What is most important to us is to meet and share different perspectives, to hear different voices on a selected topic. We want to look at it from different angles, so that after the meeting our – each of us – perspective on this issue would be richer and broader than before. We really want to create something together (our students take part in the preparations), to meet and talk together. Because this is the way to a better world, to openness and understanding of another person and their view of the world, which is sometimes different from ours. We cordially invite you to this event – come and be with us, take part in the discussion.
