Choir Olivia Business Centre
At Olivia, we share a passion. The choir was founded in March 2018 on the premises of one of OBC Companies. Then, at the initiative of the conductor Wiktoria Batarowska, the Choir expanded its wings and expanded its activities to include the entire OBC. Currently, the Choir has 40 people, and has been operating in such a unique composition since 2019. It brings together representatives of several residential Olivia companies, including AirHelp, Bayer (it all started there), Energa, GFKM, Nordea, OBC, PwC, Sii, Talkersi or Thyssenkrupp. The OBC choir debuted at Olivia Camerata’s Easter Concert in Olivia Star with “How Happy Day” by Don Howard, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, a classical ballad written by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg to the film “Wizard of Oz” from 1939 and “Can’t help folling in love” by Elvis Presley.
During the concert, the OBC Choir will present the following songs:
- “El ultimo Cafe” (tango) muz. Hector Stamponi
- “Prende la Vela” muz. Lucho Bermundez (tenor solo: Hamish Potts, perkusja: Katarzyna Rozkosz)
- “Volare” muz. Domenico Modugno
Krystyna Durys z towarzyszeniem zespołu
Krystyna Durys – jazz singer fascinated by the swing era, inspired primarily by performances of the jazz queen, Ella Fitzgerald. She began her adventure with the stage at the age of 7, she continued her, among others as a member of two youth choirs. The artist’s greatest influence on vocal and stage development was exerted by performances of top American jazz vocalists, already mentioned Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan. Her performances with jazz musicians in the artist’s homeland and abroad brought her final touch. They invited her to cooperate with, among others Jan Konop Big Band, Przemek Dyakowski and Riverboat Ramblers Swing Orchestra. In 2012, in cooperation with excellent Tri-City musicians Marek Jurski (piano, arrangements), Marcin Janek (saxophones / clarinet), Maciej Sadowski (double bass) and Adam Zagrodzki (drums) Krystyna founded her first jazz band. In 2016, Paweł Hulisz and Adam Wiśniewski joined the team. Thanks to the brass section, the band gained a new big band sound so characteristic of the swing era. In September 2016, the artist released her first album “Tribute To Ladies Of Jazz”.
