They prepare e.g. for closing of the financial year. This is the process extended in time, which encompasses a number of stages. Here, their tasks include particularly the following:  <br \/>\n  &#8211; stocktaking,  <br \/>\n  &#8211; determination of necessary write-downs and provisions,  <br \/>\n  &#8211; valuation of individual assets and liabilities,  <br \/>\n  &#8211; preparation of annual financial statements.<\/p>\n<p>R\u00f6dl &amp; Partner takes this opportunity to invite businesses to a training session: &#8220;Closing the year&#8221; in which we are going to discuss various terms and doubtful accounting and tax issues connected with closing<strong> the year<\/strong> .<br \/>\n  The meeting will be held in the Polish language on <span style=\"color: #e61515;\"><br \/>\n  <strong>14 December 2016<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span> in the Olivia <strong><span style=\"color: #e61515;\">Sky Club (Olivia Business Centre)<\/span> <\/strong>in Gda\u0144sk.  <br \/>\n  The participation fee is PLN 200 + 23% VAT per person \/ PLN 100 + 23% VAT per person.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">Registration till <span style=\"color: #e61515;\"><b>9 December<\/b>:<\/span> via e-mail <a href=\"mailto:marta.sikorska-kierst@roedl.pro\">marta.sikorska-kierst@roedl.pro<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">E-mail confirmation is necessary.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">SPEAKERS<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Ma\u0142gorzata Guzi\u0144ska-B\u0142o\u0144ska, Associate Partner, Auditor (PL)<\/strong><br \/>\n  Ma\u0142gorzata Guzi\u0144ska-B\u0142o\u0144ska is a Master of Economics from Gdansk University. She became a member of the Association of Charted Certified Accountants (ACCA) in 2003. Between 2009 and 2015 she was an inspector in the Polish National Chamber of Statutory Auditors. She has been with R\u00f6dl &amp; Partner since 2001. Ma\u0142gorzata Guzi\u0144ska-B\u0142o\u0144ska heads the Gdansk Audit Department and deals with auditing separate and consolidated financial statements (of public companies included), converting financial statements prepared according to the Polish Accounting Act into the IFRS\/IAS format, US GAAP or the German accounting law (HGB). She specialises in consolidated financial statements.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Monika Spotowska Attorney at Law (PL), Tax Adviser (PL) Senior Associate<\/strong><br \/>\n  Attorney at Law, Tax Adviser, graduate of the Faculty of Law at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) and of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Pozna\u0144. Senior Associate at R\u00f6dl &amp; Partner. She specialises in tax treaties, personal income tax and social insurance, with focus on cross-border hiring and tax avoidance in employment in Poland and abroad. She has authored numerous legal and tax articles. She has co-authored a number of books, including on international employment entitled &#8220;Work of foreigners in Poland \u2013 Legal, tax and insurance aspects&#8221; [Foreigners employed in Poland.
