What stories and secrets escape the authors of publicly available guides? You can find out during alternative city science walks, to which &#8220;Local Guides&#8221; invite you.  <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As part of the &#8220;O! Summer&#8221; we invite you to a series of walks around Gda\u0144sk&#8217;s districts.<strong>  We start on July 23 at 5.00 p.m. and we go into the city along the Oliwa Route!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The walk will be an opportunity to look at the<strong> urban and architectural changes in Oliwa over the centuries<\/strong>. In addition to the contemporary architecture of office buildings, we can find examples <strong>of villa buildings <\/strong>implemented in the spirit of the idea of the &#8220;garden city&#8221;, as well as <strong>patrician mansions from the eighteenth century<\/strong>. We will learn the stories of the pre-war and post-war inhabitants of Oliwa: <strong>architect Kurt Arnheim, entrepreneur Otto Grimmer <\/strong>and his photograph of pre-war Oliwa, <strong>Krzysztof Klenczon, Irena Jarocka, architect Marian Osi\u0144ski, the Kilarski family, the Pelczar family, <\/strong>as well as pre-war professors of the Gda\u0144sk University of Technology living in Oliwa <strong>(Eberhard Buchwald \u2013 physics, Viktor Zirkwitz \u2013 architecture and others). <\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #edbd09;\">Route:<\/span> <\/strong>Olivia Centre \u2013 ul. Each walk is carried out according to the original scenario of the guide. During it, you can hear about the surrounding nature and architecture, learn about the history of the district, look into its secret places usually known only to residents. Guides talk about literary inspirations or artistic threads related to a given place, and their narratives are often embellished with personal notes.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Walks allow you to get to know the city from a different side. It happens that the stories told by the guide surprise the oldest residents of a given district. Its aim is to increase the role of culture in the life of the city and to develop local identity.
